The Symbol of Access must be used to identify accessible features and facilities used by persons with disabilities.

The form of Symbol of Access must comply with the following:

a) it must consist of two elements, namely a symbolized figure in a wheelchair and a plain square background.

b) the proportional layout of the symbolized figure must be in accordance with

c) the colour of the symbolized figure must be white on a blue background

d) the symbolized figure must face to the right.

The Symbol of Access must be displayed:

a) outside of building to identify buildings with accessible facilities; and

b) at areas where facilities are provided for persons of disabilities.

1) Washrooms / toilets

2) Eating Spaces (Reserved tables)

3) Vehicle parks

4) Lifts

5) Building entrance

6) Telephone booths

Where the designated location is not obvious or is distant from approached viewpoints, directional signs incorporating the Symbol of Access must be placed along the route leading to facility.
